Our Committees and Their Chairs

  

Education – Sarit Saad 

Plans workshops for children as well as adult education programs.

Additionally, special holiday workshops are scheduled for children

Finance – Shelly Arron

Manages the way the congregation handles its finances

Floral – Lynne Zwickel, Jill Blitzer

Procures floral arrangements for our Services and provides floral support as needed for special events

Fund Raising/Special Events – Steven Mann

Helps sustain Temple operations, facilities, and programming through various

fundraising projects and unique events

House – Jeffrey Levin

Oversees operation and maintenance of the building and grounds

Interfaith – Lori Sturges

Builds bridges of understanding and respect between our faith traditions, actively

participates in the Greene County Interfaith Community, and supports

issues of common concern within the larger community

 

Library – Sherry Cohen

Maintains the Temple library space, which is also used as a classroom for children’s programs, and develops its resources in order to support the ongoing pursuit of Jewish learning for all members of our community

Membership – Sandy Esbin

Manages the recruitment and retention of members including planning and implementing

the Annual New Member Brunch

Program – Open

Plans, develops, and implements programs, courses of education, and cultural programming

Public Relations – Shelly Dinstein

 

Promotes all religious and secular events taking place at the synagogue

to members and the community

Ritual – Paul Cooper

Works with the Rabbi to develop the worship program and to prepare the synagogue for the worship services

Reach Out – Sheila Franklin

Working with the Rabbi, it offers support to Temple members during illness, death, or other situations, as needed

Sunshine – Eileen Boltin

Provides opportunities to acknowledge life cycle events, including births, deaths, illness and mitzvot through contributions to the Temple

 

Cemetery – Steven Mann

Handles the maintenance of our cemetery in Catskill as well as memorial plaques in the sanctuary

 

Technology – Jeff Levin

Maintains the Temple website and Facebook page
